Wet and dry techniques can be used for fat extraction. Tiny cannulas with 1-5 mm diameters is used to extract the excessive body during surgery. 4-5 kg of fat is accepted as the highest limit of extraction. Total amount of fat removal shouldn’t exceed the mentioned that. A good candidate for liposuction should be on a healthy diet. People who exercise regularly have a higher chance of a better result after surgery. Rare weight fluctuations also signs to have better results after surgery. Skin elasticity and the body weight before liposuction are also important success factors. Fat removal is a “silhouette contouring” operation.
Ultrasound energy is used to shred the fat layer and then cannulas are used to remove homogeneous fat tissues. Loose skin is tightened by the cannulas after removal procedure. Vaser liposuction is an FDA validated technique which is especially useful for patients who already has low fat layer under their skin.
Laser beam is applied to under-skin fat layer to heat the tissues then heated homogenous tissues are extracted with the help of the cannulas. The minimal invasive method is FDA approved and healing time is generally shorter compared to traditional liposuction procedure. The loose skin that will appear after the fat removal, is tightened with the laser afterwards.
Lipomatic liposuction technique is done by using a specific cannula which uses vibrations to shred fat layer under the skin. Small incisions on the skin is used to drain the fat tissues with vibrating cannulas. No heat is applied to under the patient’s skin.
